You will receive a sponsorship card, containing a photograph, the child's name, date of birth, a brief family history and present circumstances, along with any special needs the child may have. If you elect to sponsor a 'home' or 'centre' rather than a child, details of the relevant programme will be supplied.

You undertake to donate $25 per month towards the care of the selected child.  We would ask that if at all possible this committment be for at least one year.

All donations a remitted quartely to Salvation Army personnel in the child's country, and are used directly for the child or children concerned by those responsible for their welfare.  An amount of 5% is deducted to cover the cost of administration.

It is our aim to provide you with news of your sponsor child's development at intervals.  Should you wish to correspond with your sponsor child this can be arranged through the Salvation Army Child Sponsorship personnel in the child's country.  The contact details are included in the sponsorship card.
