Administrative Assistant

The Salvation Army Territorial Children’s Mission Department exists to support children’s and family ministry throughout the New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga territory. This work primarily includes creating resources for ministry and home, developing high-quality training opportunities and partnering with Divisional Children’s Secretaries.

We’re looking for someone who is responsible, creative and organised. This person will be ready to make a difference in the lives of children across the territory by contributing to the work of the Territorial Children’s Mission Department.

They will do this by:

  • Providing administrative support to the team
  • Facilitating a social media and web presence
  • Overseeing stock and distribution of resources
  • Assisting with territorial children’s events

We’d love someone who:

  • Is friendly, enthusiastic, organised and proactive
  • Has some interest in children’s/family ministry
  • Is able to work independently and collaboratively
  • Holds excellent communication skills
  • Is attentive to detail
  • Has an understanding of The Salvation Army mission

This is a part-time position (20 hours) based at The Salvation Army Territorial Headquarters in Wellington. This position will start in early 2018.
