Casual Relieving Support Workers

Palmerston North

Our Palmerston North Social Detox Services currently has vacancies for casual relieving staff to cover shifts for annual leave, short notice and planned leave. These are rostered shifts which include late afternoon, night, awake and weekend shifts, with the possibility of some permanent part-time hours.

Applicants must have a skill or experience level in either AOD and/or Mental Health and ideally have a relevant qualification OR minimum Level 4 Certificate in New Zealand Health and Wellbeing or a desire to work towards this.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Able to work as part of a team, positive, reliable, trustworthy
  • Able to attend regular meetings as required
  • Good organisational skills and multi-tasking abilities
  • Having initiative to problem solve and remaining calm under pressure.
  • Balanced with a good sense of humour
  • Confident and responsive
  • Full / Clean NZ Drivers Licence
