Finance Administrator

The Finance Administrator supports the mission of the Kapiti Corps by assisting the Corps Officers (Ministers) with a range of financial, administrative and reception tasks: the financial administration of Corps (church) resources, managing the day to day running of the Corps office, working alongside the Corps Officers, other employees and volunteers.

This is a 30-hours per week role (Hours of work are: Monday – Friday 9:00 am – 3:30 pm with half hour lunch break).

Key responsibilities:

  • Financial administrative tasks including payroll, processing of invoices for payment, financial data entry, assisting with banking and budgets.
  • Receptionist and telephone duties
  • General administration including word processing, filing, ordering supplies, mail duties, and other administrative support required by the Corps Officers

Person Specification

We are looking for someone with:

  • Financial and administrative qualifications/experience preferred
  • Excellence in ability to relate to and interact with others.
  • Excellent  organisation, time management, and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to deliver outcomes in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ability to work unsupervised/sole charge
  • Initiative and creativity
  • Commitment to ongoing training
  • Current drivers licence
  • Integrity of character supported by references
  • An understanding and commitment to the Salvation Army’s mission.
