Playgroup coordinator (part-time)

We are after individuals who have a heart for the community of Petone and are willing to work in a team environment to support and grow the work of The Salvation Army in Petone.

This position is for 5 hours per week.

The Salvation Army Playgroup in Petone has been in operation of for the past 25 years. Are you the person to help with the next chapter? We are looking for someone to run the programme elements of our Playgroup. Arts and crafts, music time, spaces design and creating an environment conducive to belonging, learning and developing.

The successful applicant will be responsible for building and leading a team of volunteers as well as ensuring the administrative side is kept up to date.

We are looking for someone who

  • Has knowledge of child development
  • Can relate well to adults and children
  • Is creative and can work within a team environment.
  • Has a passion for the mission of The Salvation Army in Petone.
