Positive Lifestyle Programme (PLP) Assistant


We are searching for an enthusiastic person who has a passion and mission heart for working with people and improving the quality of their lives.

The programme consists of 8 one to one sessions that focus on enhancing a person’s self-awareness, assisting with the development of problem-solving skills, thinking and social skills, reducing emotional distress, improving an individual’s well-being and maximising positive outcomes for future success.

The successful applicant will work with the Positive Lifestyle Programme/Education Facilitator to meet contractual requirements for 80 adult clients per year with additional wrap-around services available within the centre and wider community.

The successful applicant will need to have:

  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Enthusiastic, positive outlook on life
  • Life skills, self-management, self-reflection and integrity
  • An ability to build rapport and empathise with clients from diverse backgrounds and complex needs is essential
  • An ability to relate to parents and caregivers, as all our clients have children in their care
  • Relationship building skills
  • An ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive (high level of initiative), problem-solving attitude
  • Relevant qualifications or experience

Training to become a qualified PLP Facilitator will be provided for the successful applicant.

This position is for 20 hours per week.
