We’re looking for a passionate retail store manager for our Henderson Family Store preferably with experience in second hand retail with a strong focus on operations, sorting and sales.
Our Ideal retail store manager has the excellent ability to present a shop that sells – a lot. You will also be a person with huge compassion, who recognises that not all our customers are there because they adore the treasures that reward a diligent second-hand shopaholic. Many who shop with us are trying to make ends meet.
Our successful retail store manager will have the privilege of funding the mission of The Salvation Army through smart retailing decisions and the ability to streamline the complexities of processing the inbound flow of donated goods and transforming them into desirable offerings for shoppers.
You would also have strong people skills – with the ability to lead and motivate volunteers as well as paid staff whilst maintaining a compassionate caring culture for all the people who make up the family store community - including the vulnerable.
You will be a person who would rather be in the store than in the office and have a life philosophy that aligns with the Salvation Army’s Christian Faith based mission.
