The Hastings Salvation Army hall on the corner of Warren Street and Avenue Road has given faithful service for just over 81 years. The corps is now looking forward to a new worship and community centre, which is being built on the same site and is expected to be completed in March 2012. In the interim, worship, weekday ministry and administration have been temporarily located to 305 Heretaunga Street East (access off Eastbourne Street).
