Community Ministries Manager

Christchurch City Corps

The Christchurch City Corps is seeking applications for a Community Ministries Manager.

We are looking for someone with social/welfare work management experience to lead a well-established and comprehensive team of Community Ministry workers in Christchurch.

40 hours per week.

Desirable attributes:

  • Experience in the field of Social/Welfare work.
  • Experience in leading a team.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications would be an advantage.
  • Ability to ensure Service Contract requirements are met and exceeded.
  • Capability to develop a productive and harmonious team of volunteers and paid staff.
  • Can establish and maintain strong, effective networks and relationships with Contractors, other Agencies and Salvation Army Centres.
  • A strong personal commitment to addressing poverty and injustice in the community.
  • Committed to the mission of The Salvation Army.
  • Commitment to the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi.
  • Experience in working within agreed budgets.

The Christchurch City Corps is committed to addressing the social needs and to reach out to those people living in the city centre who are disadvantaged for many reasons  We are looking for the right person to work with us to achieve the ministry and mission of the Salvation Army in their city.
