Education & Employment

The Salvation Army Education and Employment has upskilled over 60,000 people over the last 34 years.  At any one time, Education and Employment is helping around 1000 people with education and training needs nationwide.  Each weekday, around 150 Salvation Army tutors/ Employment Coaches and Chaplains engage with more than 600 people in development in over 20 service delivery centres across New Zealand. 

We are committed to delivering education that helps young people achieve qualifications and matching people of any age to jobs.

Youth Guarantee

  • Youth courses - Youth Guarantee

    Youth Guarantee courses are for 15-19 year olds who are looking for foundation learning and to earn NCEA credits at levels 1, 2 & 3

  • Youth Courses - Alternative Education

    Alternative education provides an environment for students who are still of an age to be in the compulsory schooling system, but for whom continued attendance at the school in which they are enrolled is not an option.

  • Training for Work

    ESOL (English for Speakers of Other languages)
