Fun and friendships for parents and children
Preschool class of children

Take some time out each week and enjoy playing with your preschooler at our place!

Salvation Army preschool groups are environments where children and caregivers have fun together and make new friends. We have a commitment to ensuring a safe and secure environment for all children.

We offer a variety of pre-school activities. Some Salvation Army centres run preschool music and movement groups; others are playgroup based. A few centres have toy libraries.

Children who take part in our preschool groups develop self confidence and strengthen their social and motor skills.

Parents benefit from regular contact with other mums and dads—many of our groups incorporate a morning tea time so parents can catch up. These friendships can be a lifesaver in times of stress or when parenting questions arise.

You don’t have to attend church at The Salvation Army to enjoy our great children’s activities. There’s a warm welcome for everyone.

mainly music™

mainly music™ is a Christian-based preschool music programme that The Salvation Army has permission to use in some locations.

Children and their caregivers enjoy music, movement, interaction, rhymes, puppets and more. Sessions are structured and focus on adult-child interaction. mainly music™ is an excellent way to introduce children to music and creativity.

How do I take part in a Preschool Group?
