Easing the back to school blues for many families

Easing the back to school blues for many families

08 Jan 2010

Many Salvation Army client families will receive much-needed relief when they prepare to send their children back to school this year.

Warehouse Stationery and The Salvation Army have entered a partnership that will see hundreds of families receive assistance when buying stationery and school supplies for the new school year.

Warehouse Stationery, as part of its back-to-school promotion, is offering its customers the opportunity to add $1 or more to their purchases as a donation to The Salvation Army. All money raised will go to Community Ministries to be used to assist families to buy stationery and school supplies for their children. The promotion is running at all Warehouse Stationery’s 47 stores.

Salvation Army Public Relations Secretary Major Robbie Ross says the initiative will give valuable assistance to those families who struggle the most to meet the growing costs of getting their children ready for the school year. “This is a great partnership and something that has been needed for a very long time."
