Hallelujah! - History Magazine

The story of The Salvation Army in the Western South Pacific is still unfolding, but a glorious past is being captured in the regular magazine, Hallelujah!, now in its second year.

Hallelujah! is the fruit of a partnership of Salvation Army historians and writers from New Zealand, Australia and Papua New Guinea. Four editions were published in 2008. Three will be published in 2009 and three more in 2010.

Hallelujah! Volume 2 - Issue 4 - Something must be done!

This issue looks at some of the innovative programmes initiated by The Salvation Army for the sole purpose of salvation.

Many of the programmes and initiatives did much to relieve human suffering, itself a key strategy of the Founders.

Featuring:

  • Heart to God, hand to man - Garth Hentzschel traces the development and ministry of Salvation Army emergency services.
  • Salvation and the land - George Hazell describes how The Salvation Army has utilised farming throughout its ministry.
