The Salvation Army declares itself ‘apolitical’. But does this mean it is completely withdrawn and uninterested in politics?1 ‘Of course’, I hear you say: ‘politics has nothing to do with the Church because it has nothing to do with our relationship with God. It’s not something The Salvation Army should bother with.’
But if that’s so, why then does The Salvation Army have a ‘Social Policy and Parliamentary Unit’?
