How it works

Becoming a Salvation Army True Hero – and supporting Kiwis in need every day – is easy.

By making a monthly donation to the work of The Salvation Army, your ongoing gift can help those in greatest need.

You choose the amount you wish to donate, and your regular donation can be debited either from your chosen credit card or directly from your bank account.
You can also cancel your payment at any time simply by contacting us.

At the end of the financial tax year, we’ll send you a summary of all your regular donations for the year, which you can use to claim a tax rebate.

We’ll also keep in contact with you during the year by providing you special True Heroes updates, as well as a gift for the new year, from our team.

You can view the latest newsletter update for True Heroes here.
