About the role

The Salvation Army Bridge – Wellington has a vacancy for a suitably qualified full-time Caseworker for our residential alcohol and drug service based in Wellington.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Tertiary Alcohol and Drug qualifications or qualifications in a closely related field such as social work, counselling, or nursing;
  • Professional Registration or working towards obtaining;
  • Experience in group facilitation and case management preferably in the Alcohol and Other Drug field;
  • Experience in managing a clinical caseload;
  • Talk Therapies Experience;
  • Awareness of the requirements of the Treaty of Waitangi and able to work from a bi-cultural perspective;
  • The ability to work with people from other diverse backgrounds and cultures;
  • The ability to work within a team environment and also independently when required;
  • Participate in on call after hours rostering;
  • Full NZ Drivers’ Licence is essential.

To be appointed in this role, applicants must have NZ residency or a valid NZ Work Permit and give permission for the completion of a satisfactory Ministry of Justice and police check.
