The Salvation Army Bridge – Wellington currently has an exciting new role for a suitably qualified Clinical Psychologist with our programme located in Wellington.

We are a major player within the NZ Addiction Services Sector and you will become part of an International Organisation.  This is a part time role for 24 hours per week. 

The successful applicant will have:

  • Minimum of a Masters Degree in Psychology and Post graduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology or equivalent;
  • Registration with NZ Psychologist Board, with Clinical Psychology Vocational Scope of Practice;
  • Current annual practising certificate;
  • Understanding of mental health and addiction in adults and the impact of these issues on clients, their families and community;
  • Excellent clinical judgement and strong clinical boundaries;
  • Skills to maintain informative and up-to-date online records;
  • Proficiency in computer IT and data base systems;
  • Sound understanding of Maori Cultural Principles and philosophies;
  • Skills in co-ordination and in administration;
  • A Full NZ Drivers’ Licence is (essential).

Applicants will need to be comfortable working within the philosophy and values of the programme as an expression of the Christian Social Service mission of The Salvation Army.

Successful applicants will be required to undergo Police and Ministry of Justice vetting.
