Hours: 40 Hours (4x afternoon Shifts 3:30pm – 12am and 1x morning Shift 7:30am – 4pm)

The Salvation Army Reintegration Service, Puawai (Bail House)

The Salvation Army Reintegration Service provides short term housing and other support for people reintegrating into the community following their release from prison.

These Bail Support positions involve the case management of allocated clients ensuring they are supported throughout their initial Bail into the community whilst living in a home supporting environment.  It will include working closely with Community Probations, Bail Supports, Police, Family and other government and community organizations.

It is a 24/7 Supported Service.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will:

  • Be able to work in a team environment
  • Have good personal relationship skills
  • Have previous experience in handling crises
  • Be able to monitor and oversight programme
  • Have a willingness to work from a bicultural perspective, having an awareness and understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi
  • Have a strong sense of social justice
  • Have a commitment to the mission and values of the Salvation Army
  • Have a current First Aid certificate
  • Have a current full drivers licence
