Auckland Bridge, Manukau

The Salvation Army, Te Ope Whakaora, Bridge Programme for Alcohol and Other Drug treatment is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified fulltime caseworker position within our Residential and day services based in Manukau. This is Monday to Friday 40 Hours per week, 08:00 until 16:30.

As a Case Worker, you will work as part of a team and an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people who are affected, help to develop the local service, and work as part of a wider Auckland team within a highly reputable and stable organisation.
  
The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Tertiary Alcohol and Drug qualifications or qualifications in a closely related field such as social work, counselling, or nursing
  • Professional Registration or working towards obtaining
  • Experience in group facilitation and case management preferably in the Alcohol and Other Drug field
  • Experience in managing a clinical caseload
  • Awareness of the requirements of the Treaty of Waitangi and able to work from a bi-cultural perspective
  • The ability to work with people from other diverse backgrounds and cultures
  • The ability to work within a team environment and also independently when required
  • An empathy with the overall Mission of the Salvation Army - Caring for People, Transforming Lives, and Reforming Society
