Hours: Part-time permanent, 12 hours per week (9am-1pm, Tues-Thurs)

Salary Band: The likely salary for this role will fall between $44,119.14 to $46,195.30 (FTE). The likely hourly rate for this role will fall between $22.62 to $23.69

About The Salvation Army Hibiscus Coast

The Salvation Army Hibiscus Coast is responsible for the outworking of The Salvation Army’s Mission on the Hibiscus Coast. As well as supporting a vibrant faith community, The Salvation Army Hibiscus Coast is actively engaged in ministry that address a variety of social needs within the community. This work includes a community foodbank, financial mentoring and other programmes that cater for the needs of seniors, and young families. The Hibiscus Coast Corps facilities is a significant asset that is integral to both the outworking and sustainability of our mission. The Centre Administrator role is critical to the success of our mission in that it provides general administrative support to the Corps Officers, while also focussing on the sustainability of the mission through the management of our facilities and coordination of local fundraising initiatives. 

About the role

Reporting to the Corps Officers, the Centre Administrator is responsible for the organisation and coordination of the office operations for The Salvation Army Hibiscus Coast Corps to ensure organisational effectiveness and efficiency. Key aspects of the role include reception, administration support, human resources, fundraising, and managing the facilities.

Key Tasks:

  • Reception, administration, financial processing and record keeping
  • Secretarial support to Corps Officers
  • Office management
  • Facilities hire coordination
  • Coordination of fundraising initiatives and events

Person Specification

Must have skills and experience requirements

  • Administration and computer skills essential (proficient in MS Office suite).
  • Some experience and understanding of financial processing needed.
  • Some sales & marketing, event coordination and/or fundraising experience would be advantageous.
  • Experience in a customer interfacing or reception role is preferred. Strong interpersonal communication skills essential.
