Hamilton City Salvation Army

We are searching for a qualified Child Therapist who has a passion, mission and heart for working with children.

Here at Hamilton City Salvation Army you will be working alongside a dedicated team of professional social service and community programme providers.

The successful applicant will have the following attributes, skills and experience:

  • Be a passionate advocate for the safety and well-being of children;
  • Have proven therapeutic experience and skills in clinical work with children and families;
  • Experience in working alongside and supporting families in stressful situations
  • A recognised qualification in child psychotherapy, psychology, counselling, family therapy, child play therapy or equivalent;
  • Have an understanding of trauma and attachment focused models of practice;
  • A commitment to being part of a supportive and dynamic team;
  • Have excellent professional boundaries;
  • Have efficient recording and computer literacy;
  • An understanding of and a commitment to upholding the values and mission plan of The Salvation Army.

This is a permanent position for 19 hours per week.
