Full-time role, 37.5 hours per week.

The Salvation Army Whakatane has an exciting opportunity for a Children and Family Ministries Team Leader to join our dedicated team of staff to support the health and wellness of children in our Corps and community, sharing the love of Jesus in word and deed.  Responsible for determining and implementing a discipleship and pastoral ministry to children and families who are connected with the Whakatane Corps.

We are looking for someone who loves God and will share that in both the Children and Family Ministry by building relationships within our Corps as well as our local community through events and community ministries.

The preferred applicant will:

  • Have experience in working with children and families;
  • Be competent with information and communications technologies;
  • Have the ability to relate to people from a diverse range of backgrounds;
  • Have the ability to work well within a team and can lead a team;
  • Have the ability to self-manage and to prioritise multiple tasks and keep track of work in progress and meet deadlines.

This is a full-time salaried position starting Monday, 19 July 2021.
