Divisional Support Services Manager

Northern Divisional Headquarters, Royal Oak, Auckland

The Salvation Army’s Northern Division provides support for Salvation Army corps and centres in Auckland and Northland. 

About the role

We are looking for a confident and motivated team player with well-developed administration skills and experience in Finance, Business and Human Resources (HR).

You will be a proactive administrator with strong decision making and communication skills. You will have excellent organisational ability, judgement, and high personal integrity. You will have the ability to remain calm under pressure, a good sense of humour and enjoy the rewards of working in a busy and demanding environment.

This is a fixed term 12-month role, for 37.5 hours per week (Monday – Friday).

Key duties include:

  • Understanding, follow and communicate official policy and procedure relevant to Financial, Property, Personnel and Service-related legislation;
  • Providing efficient support to local centres relating to Business, Property, Finance and HR processes;
  • Report writing and analysis;
  • Oversight of annual budget, risk management and audit processes;
  • Coordination of Mission Facilitator team to provide effective administration support;
  • Office Management.

Person Specification

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Proven Business, Finance and HR administration experience, preferably involving knowledge of administration policies, systems and procedures;
  • A strong commitment to delivering excellent service;
  • Stellar communication skills (verbal and written);
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills;
  • An ability to build and nurture positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
