Executive Assistant to Divisional Leaders & Office Assistant

We are seeking a motivated and highly organised individual to provide EA support to The Divisional Commander and Divisional Director Women’s Ministries/Divisional Secretary for Personnel.

Having a friendly and relational approach is very important to them.  They are seeking a candidate who enjoys this same approach and who will enjoy providing a prompt and friendly service to staff and those placed around the central division.    We are looking for someone with the ability to work collaboratively within the team, as well as independently for the benefit of the Divisional Leaders and the work they do.

You will have proven experience in a similar support role and have well organised systems in place to manage and support our Divisional Leaders’ work load.

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Highly organised and can keep a track of deadlines;
  • Calm under pressure;
  • High attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to take minutes and write briefs as required;
  • Coordinate papers as necessary;
  • Ability to work independently;
  • Strong customer service skills;
  • Problem solving skills;
  • Team player and can work collaboratively;
  • Confident with computers and various applications.

You may be an experienced Executive Assistant or come from a strong administration background where you have provided support to more than one manager and are ready to take the next step in your career.

This is a varied role, where you gain an in-depth knowledge of The Salvation Army where you have the opportunity to join an organisation who gives back to society.You will be joining a supportive team where everyone works together to facilitate the support to the Corps (churches) and centres of the division.
