About the role

The Family Store Assistant will be responsible for the day to day running of the store with the support of the Manager and Area Manager. You will be working alongside a group of amazing volunteers while giving back to your community.

  • Stock processing
  • Customer service
  • EOD cash-up
  • Merchandising
  • Community engagement

In this role you will work under the guidance of the Manager. Assisting with key duties set out on that day. You will be working alongside volunteers to encourage and support them in their roles while also making it an enjoyable shopping experience for all customers and donors.

Person Specification

  • Physically fit (moving and lifting stock)
  • Friendly and approachable
  • Have computer/electronic skills
  • Able to relate to a diverse range of people
  • Have previous knowledge of second-hand goods.
  • Willing to learn new skills
