This is a 37.5 hour per week permanent job share position working Monday to Friday available for two people.

About Hamilton City Corps Family Stores

The Mission of The Salvation Army and Hamilton City Corps, is to care for people, transform lives and reform society.  The Family Stores support this mission by reflecting the mission in the stores and community and raising funds to assist the implementation.

About the Role

The main tasks of this role are the collection and delivery of donated goods from/to customers and our other stores in Hamilton, loading and unloading of the vehicle at base, and assistance with pricing and placing of larger items into the store.  Heavy lifting will be involved.

The person we seek will:

  • Be supportive of the mission of the Salvation Army and identify with our mission and values;
  • Have a full clean NZ drivers’ licence (Heavy Traffic not required);
  • Have the ability in problem solving and using initiative;
  • Have good local street knowledge;
  • Be an active, friendly, physically fit person;
  • Be competent with Health & Safety regulations;
  • Have good communication skills, written and oral;
  • Have the ability to operate the truck and its functions;
  • Enjoy working in a team environment.
