40 hours per week - 9 Months Maternity Leave Cover – Transitional Housing

The Salvation Army Supportive Accommodation Services provide short-term accommodation for households in need of transitional housing along with support services that are designed to assist placed households to transition to a stable personal and financial position and achieve a more sustainable housing solution by the end of their short-term stay.

We require a person who has:

  • At least 3 years of accounting experience with a diploma/degree in Accounting/Accounting Technician (AT) / provisional member of CAANZ Familiar with General Ledger accounting journals
  • Excellent Bank reconciliation skills
  • Previous experience with Technology One Accounting System and a payroll system is an advantage
  • Good team player
  • Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships at all levels
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Computer literate including Lotus Notes / Outlook, Excel and Word Processing software
  • Able to meet tight budget, management reporting and Year End financial reporting datelines
  • Able to relate to people with sensitivity, care and patience Self organising and good administration skills Commitment to continuing professional development
  • Understanding of, respect for, and able to work with The Salvation Army’s mission, principles, and Christian ethos
