Our free and confidential service is delivered by a team of passionate and qualified health professionals who seek to support and empower individuals, whanau and communities to develop healthy and fulfilling lifestyles, free from gambling harm.
A vacancy to cover parental leave has become available within The Salvation Army Christchurch for a full-time (40 hours per week) fixed term gambling caseworker, starting 30th September 2019 to 29 May 2020. This role will be based at The Salvation Army Oasis Christchurch centre. The applicant will preferably have experience working in the Gambling Harm/Addiction clinical context using both one to one and group interventions. It would be an advantage to have experience in working with affected whanau, couples, coexisting issues, diverse cultures including Maori, Pacific, Asian and an ability to engage with larger audiences.
