The Salvation Army, Te Ope Whakaora, Bridge Programme for Alcohol and Other Drug treatment is seeking to appoint suitably qualified full-time Nursing position (40 hours per week Monday - Friday) and a part time Nursing position (24 hours a week Saturday - Monday) based at Mt Eden Bridge, but providing nurse cover to Waitakere and Manukau bridges, working with a dedicated multidisciplinary team and under the direction of a new Nurse Team Leader.

Person Specification

  • Must be registered to practice as a general nurse in New Zealand with a valid NZ annual practicing certificate, having achieved a minimum Level 2;
  • Experienced working with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures;
  • Preferred clinical experience working with clients from Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD);
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Preferred experience in group facilitation or training;
  • The ability to work independently or within a multidisciplinary environment;
  • Able to work from a bicultural perspective.

To be appointed in this role, applicants must have NZ residency or a valid NZ Work Permit and give permission for the completion of a satisfactory Police Check.
