This is an opportunity to help guide and develop a first-class service as we further develop our model of care and support that we offer to clients and their whanau/families.

You will be leading a small team of Registered Nurses across three sites working with clients who have issues related to substance addiction who want to make a positive change to their lives.

This exciting leadership role joins with the other existing three Team Leaders involved in overseeing the provision of services and increasing the liaison with other community organisations to provide the best care possible.

You will oversee the delivery of nursing services and physical health needs of residential clients from all Bridge sites in Auckland, Waitakere, Manukau and Mt Eden, developing and delivering health messages and information to groups as well as individuals as well as being a part of the wider management Team.

This role is Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm and as with other Team Leaders will report to the Operations Manager. There is also an on-call requirement of one week (7 days) in four weeks in rotation with other Team Leaders, for which you will receive an additional $200 allowance.

If you have a commitment to supporting people in their recovery and have many of the following attributes, we would like to hear from you:

  • A current professional qualification and registration in General Nursing to minimum level 3 (this is a must);
  • Clinical experience within Alcohol and Other Drugs (this is a must);
  • Preferred membership with Drug and Alcohol Nurses Australasia (DANA).
  • Experience in managing a team of nursing staff (this is a must);
  • Experienced in group facilitation and issue resolution;
  • Ability to work within a team environment;
  • Able to work from a bicultural perspective;
  • Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures;
  • Full Drivers’ licence.
