Partnership Engagement Coordinator

The Salvation Army Te Ope Whakaora is a world-wide evangelical Christian church and human service provider that assists over 120,000 New Zealanders every year providing a wide range of community services, such as food banks, family stores, early childhood centres and addiction treatment centres.

Corporate partnerships are fundamental to the continuing efforts of The Salvation Army in our communities. They are honoured to have a significant number of partnerships with businesses throughout New Zealand, which range in size from large national corporates through to locally based business. Each of these partnerships is valued and nurtured.

The Partnership Engagement Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Corporate Partnerships Manager and Relationship Managers in the effective management and development of The Salvation Army’s partnerships with corporate entities, and in particular will be responsible for:

  • Providing a high-level of administrative support services to the Corporate Relationships team
  • Managing and maintaining databases and tools which support the efficient management of corporate partnerships
  • Maintaining web content and creating social media creation for corporate partnerships
  • Producing partnership campaign and recognition collateral and material
  • Coordinating and promoting the Payroll Giving programme
  • Coordinating corporate fundraising events
  • Producing correspondence, documents, and meeting minutes
  • Liaising with key stakeholders to ensure that the office functions smoothly
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to support corporate relationships

Person Profile:

  • Strong administration skills and experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to form strong relationships, including virtually
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work within a team – a “team player”
  • Exceptional organisational skills and ability to work to a plan, while managing competing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to use the Microsoft Office suite as well as online environments (ideally digital marketing and CRM databases)
  • Understanding and empathy towards the mission and values of The Salvation Army
  • Experience in events management and production of marketing collateral is desirable
  • A relevant tertiary qualification
