About the Mount Wellington Early Childhood Education Centre

We are a small centre licenced for 25 under twos and 20 over twos. Our goal is to care for and nurture children and their families during the early years of their life and to provide the children with a quality education, developing a strong disposition for learning.

About the role

This is for 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between the hours of 8am-5pm (exclusive of staff meeting times, whanau events).

We are seeking a qualified, registered teacher who is organised, self-motivated and passionate about all aspects of early childhood to work in our Early Childhood Education Centre within a community hub at the Auckland City Corps in Mt Wellington, Auckland. The successful candidate must be friendly, approachable and have good communication skills. Registered ECE teachers are preferred however we will also consider candidates in their final year of training.  If you have an enthusiastic approach to learning and enjoy working with the community we would love to hear from you.

We want to provide quality education and care to the children and the families of the ECEC in accordance with the Centre’s Philosophy and policies, Education (Early Childhood Services) Regulations 2008 and Licensing Criteria and the operating procedures of The Salvation Army
