Pay rate: $56,000 to $ 62,000

We are a dedicated Alcohol and Drug team who provide both residential and day client services to those experiencing alcohol or other drug problems. Contracted from The District Health Boards to provide professional services.

The Role

We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join the team, based at the Mt Eden site but also providing some services to Manukau and Waitakere clients.

This role has a medical focus and would ideally suit someone with experience in Accident and Emergency, practice nursing or a similar environment.

  • Perform Nursing duties as defined by professional scope of practice working within TSA model of treatment.
  • Provide support to Doctor led clinics (one on each site).
  • Providing medical and health-based support to clients to enhance their therapeutic journey.
  • Where applicable provide support to clients in relation to accessing other health providers.
  • Deliver health-based information to clients, both individually and in group as part of the TSA model of care.
  • Work in collaboration with other staff to deliver a holistic service.

Person Specification

  • Must be registered to practice in New Zealand with a valid NZ annual practising certificate with a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
  • Experienced working with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
  • Preferred clinical experience working with clients from AOD.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Preferred experience in group facilitation.
  • Ability to work within a team environment.
  • Able to work from a bicultural perspective.
