About the role:

We are looking for a full-time Team Leader to manage our Yarrow St Family Store.  In this role you will be working closely with the Area Manager and a great team of paid staff and volunteers. You will be assisting staff in the processing of donations from our amazing donors as well as making our costumers enjoy their shopping experience.  You will need to be a compassionate person with a heart to make a difference in the community. 

Key tasks

  • Leading a team of employees and volunteers
  • Ensuring the store meets its key performance indicators
  • Merchandising Stock
  • Building excellent costumer and donor relationships
  • Financial management
  • Follow the Salvation Army’s policy and process requirements

Person Specification

The successful applicant will have a range of skills which include:

  • Be friendly and approachable
  • Proven experience in leading a successful team
  • Be able to work under pressure
  • Physically fit as some lifting is required
  • Have and understanding of computers and EOD
  • Have a positive and encouraging attitude
  • Be able to relate to a variety of people/cultures
  • A willingness to adapt and learn new skills
