The Salvation Army Family Store, Dominion Road, Mt Eden

Two positions available.

The Mt Eden Family store is a dynamic, large and successful operation operating Monday to Saturday with a team comprising of both paid and volunteer staff.

Our store is a high-volume retail operation selling donated preowned goods that in turn provides financial resource for the mission of The Salvation Army based within Auckland bridge.

We are looking for new staff with a primary function of truck driver who are physically very fit, able to participate in heavy lifting, and able to easily engage with people from all walks of life.

This is a key opportunity for a person or persons seeking employment that possesses the following attributes:

  • Excellent customer service skills;
  • Ability to relate well to people;
  • A strong back for necessary lifting;
  • Commitment to the mission and values of The Salvation Army;
  • Clean Class 1 drivers’ licence and ability to drive a manual Truck;
  • Experience in sales.

We pay $22.20 per hour. 

Applicants must have NZ Residency or a valid NZ Work Permit and will be required to be police vetted for this position.
