Hours: This is a permanent full-time role - negotiable between 30 and 37.5 hours per week.
Salary Band: The likely salary for this role will fall between $60,000 to $68,000

Key tasks
Co-ordinate and oversee the Wellbeing Team of five frontline staff, providing supportive line management and operational leadership
Work with and alongside the team to deliver a professional support service to the community of Rotorua, providing tangible support and focusing on whānau wellbeing
Represent The Salvation Army in local forums, networking and supporting collaborative kaupapa
Person Specification
A background in social services, community development or health and wellbeing
Experience in leading dynamic teams, with experience of leadership in management or supervisory positions
Commitment to The Salvation Army’s mission and ongoing professional development
Ability to work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and work collaboratively with both internal and external agencies
Thrives on challenges, organised and focused
Good computer and IT skills
Good verbal and written communicator
Full & clean driver’s licence
Be legally entitled to work in NZ
Tā mātou mahi / About Rotorua Corps and Community Ministries
We offer a wide range of services to the community including practical assistance, kai, social work support, financial mentoring, transitional housing, te reo Māori classes, chaplaincy, and a range of other supportive programmes and connections. Located on the same site, we have our Community Ministries team (social services), the Family Store (recycling used clothes and household items), and our corps/church-based programmes.
