The Salvation Army 40th Celebrations in Tonga

Interest is sought from brass players who want to travel to Tonga to support the 40th celebrations of the Salvation Army’s work in Tonga on the weekend of the 3rd and 4th of October.
It is hoped that we could have a contingent of brass players from New Zealand travel over to support the local players to make the weekend a great time of celebration.
We would travel as a group and stay as a group, probably leaving New Zealand on Wednesday, 30th September, for a few rehearsals in preparation for the weekend. We would then return on Monday the 5th of October.
There will be a cost associated with travel, accommodation and food, approximately $2,000.00
Can you donate a brass instrument?
Tonga is also looking for any spare instruments that may be lying around. They are keen to receive any instruments that are in good working order that would be good for adults or young people.
If you are keen to help or donate an instrument, send an email to cmd@salvationarmy.org.nz
