Issue 30 – Growing Prevailing Churches

Grow great Kiwi churches

We can still grow great Kiwi churches today, despite the challenges, because the basic ingredients are so few.

Growing churches (in The Salvation Army, we call our church congregations ‘corps’) are well-led churches. They have a clear and often gripping vision of where they want to go. And they do Sundays well, holding at least 25 percent of their first-time local visitors; so if they get 400 local visitors this year, they’ll hold over 100 of them. But they also do other things, which we now explore as we conclude this coaching series.
