This website has recently undergone substantial rebuilding. While we’ve worked to minimise disruptions, you may encounter some issues. We appreciate your patience during this transition.
All current Booth College of Mission cadets/students, staff, Salvation Army officers and employees have free access to the library’s resource.
The library also welcomes subscription members, including students studying at other theological colleges, Christian pastors and members of the public. Joining the library on a subscription basis is available on request for an annual fee. To see the registration form click here.
Library Management System
The library has an online catalogue system. Searching, researching, issuing, returns, reserves, can all be done online.
Borrowing procedures
A library card is issued at the time of registration and is required for borrowing.
Borrowing in person is recommended, although a Postal Borrowing system is in place. A request for a title may be made via email or by telephone to the Librarian – (04) 528 8628.
The library operates on a self-borrowing computerised loans system. Instruction on this system will be given at the time of membership and orientation.
Loan Periods
Normal loan period: 6 weeks.
Renewals: 1 month.
Recalls: Library materials may, on occasion, be subject to recall.
Reference and Reserve Books: These are generally not available for loan.
Overdue notices
Overdue notices are sent by email.
Overdue fines may be imposed for damaged and lost items. If this occurs the College will issue an official invoice to the library member.
