SALT (previously known as War Cry)

SALT (previously known as War Cry) is a monthly 36-page Christian magazine for Salvation Army readers and all those exploring faith issues. Read the latest issue online or visit us at saltmagazine.org.nz. Initially published as a physical magazine, War Cry has been in production for over 140 years. During the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, the magazine continued to be produced and distributed electronically. The surge in readership prompted the move to increase the availability online and a review on how the magazine was produced.

With thorough consultation and international approval, the magazine saw a name change to SALT (Salvation Army Life and Times), a complete redesign, and a monthly edition instead of fortnightly editions.

Online articles

A selection of articles have been published on the website after each issue for many years. However, in November 2022 the magazine was updated and all content has been moved online at saltmagazine.org.nz
