‘Just Milk’ pilot to land on Woolworths shelves

The Salvation Army welcomes a new initiative with Goodman Fielder and Woolworths as part of a pilot programme launching in the South Island that will help support people in need. Just Milk is a new locally produced milk that will be sold in selected Woolworths stores.

For every 2L bottle of Just Milk purchased, 10 cents will be donated directly to The Salvation Army to support its wraparound services for individuals and families facing hardship.

The Salvation Army Corporate Partnerships Team Lead John Mawdsley says the charity is grateful to be involved in an initiative that combines everyday purchasing with meaningful social impact.

“We’re really excited to be part of the Just Milk pilot. This is a simple but powerful way for people to help others in their community just by buying a staple product,” says John.

Produced by Goodman Fielder in its Christchurch operation, Just Milk will feature The Salvation Army logo on its packaging, highlighting the partnership and its focus on giving back to the community.

“The additional funding generated through this initiative will go directly towards our wraparound support services, helping us walk alongside people who are doing it tough and provide the practical and emotional support they need.”

The pilot will initially focus on the South Island, with the potential to expand nationwide.

John says the pilot reflects a growing appetite for partnerships that deliver both commercial value and community benefit.

“We know many New Zealanders are looking for ways to make a difference. Initiatives like this make it easy to contribute, and we’re hopeful the community will get behind it.”

Just Milk is available now until 25 October at selected Woolworths stores, including Ashburton South, Mosgiel, Hornby, Rolleston, Nelson, Blenheim, Stoke, Moorhouse Ave, Northlands, Kaiapoi, Church Cnr, Eastgate, Colombo St, Ashburton, Oamaru, Timaru, Dunedin Central, Invercargill and more!
