Positional Statements

The Salvation Army prepares Positional Statements that state its view on moral and social issues. These statements are not binding on Salvationists, but are published for their guidance and for the information of the general public.

Below are the Positional Statements published by The Salvation Army New Zealand, Fiji, Tonga and Samoa Territory.

International Positional Statements

The Salvation Army also publishes a series of International Positional Statements prepared by the International Moral and Social Issues Council (IMASIC) and approved by The Salvation Army’s General.

When these statements fit well within a New Zealand, Fiji, Tonga and Samoa context, The Salvation Army in New Zealand, Fiji, Tonga and Samoa does not publish its own Positional Statements on the same topic.
