Prison & Courts
Going to court can be a bewildering and sometimes frightening experience, whether you are a defendant, victim, witness or simply attending to support.
Our Court chaplains want to make your visit to court as easily understood and as non- threatening as possible by offering non-judgmental emotional support, companionship and practical assistance.
Our Court Chaplains can:
- Explain court procedures and decisions
- Direct you to the right courtroom
- Advise where to get legal advice
- Arrange transport (if safety is a concern), accommodation and food support
- Arrange counselling and court-ordered alcohol and drug assessments
- Help you find accommodation when bail addresses are required
