We are a dedicated team of experienced and qualified teachers who have been working together for many years. We love being integrated in the Newtown community and look forward to developing strong friendships with our tamariki and whānau.
We are connected to and part of a community services hub and Salvation Army church, offering wrap-around support services for families.
We provide cooked meals, high ratio of qualified and registered teachers, regular excursions into the community such as swimming lessons, nature programme, zoo trips, local parks and library. We also provide wrap-around services for the whole family such as playgroup, counselling, foodbank and vege co-op.
Our educational programme is based on current early childhood development and brain research that allows our infants and toddlers and preschoolers to form strong attachments to their teachers helping them explore their developing capabilities and the play environment, all the while developing their strong sense of self, social competence with others and a passion for learning.
Our centre is licensed for 45 children from birth to 5+ years.
We enrol up to a maximum of 30 children at any one time in our childcare programme
We enrol 8 children under two years, and 20 children two years to school age.
Open hours: 7:45am to 5:15pm. We offer full-day sessions, and a limited amount of half-day sessions, 7:45am–12:00pm or 12:00pm–5:15pm
We also run 4 SPACE parenting programmes during the week for 15 babies and parents per session. Monday to Thursdays 9:00am–11.30am
